If you have ever imagined cycling in Portugal this self-guided itinerary takes you to know Sistelo, Soajo, Ermelo historical villages of Portugal.
Cycling Portugal on either a five or an eight day itinerary that allows a unique ancestral heritage with a mild climate and mild temperatures.
The bike paths pass through beautiful landscapes scattered throughout the National Park that cross the rivers and picturesque places this quiet Portugal.
Throughout this cycling holiday in Portugal you will be offered full support; Transfer from the airport, bicycles, maps, accommodation and a visit to the city of Porto on the last day of your holidays.

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at the airport Oporto. Your guide will guide you to your Quinta Lamosa accommodation in the heart of the National Park Peneda Geres. If the time allows, they can take a little cycling around.

Day 2: Approximate distance for the day of 40 km. Cycle on mixed eco trail along the river Vez and asphalt at to village Sistelo, one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. You can enjoy the local gastronomy border the river.

Day 3: 40 km that will cross three of the oldest villages of Portugal, date back to 1517. Walk on flat terrain, passing through agricultural land for wine and grain production, along the rivers Vez and Rio Lima the arrival at Ponte de Lima provides a mixed emotions. Such is the connection of this to the river and the local people.

Day 4: With a distance 30 or 20 km in asphalt, the choice the host. We start the day in the historic village of Soajo, passing through the village of Ermelo. UNESCO patrimony, where it is possible to feel the hardness in which the local populations lived in this places. With a unique view to 350 mts altitude on the river Lima. We will arrive at the Castle which was the first residence the first king Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques sec XI.

Day 5: Approaching the end o the holidays we will end with breathtaking landscapes the National Park. We will have as starting point the Sanctuary Peneda, we go to pass by the old Glacier, pasture fields and cleared rivers. 40 km at the village Arcos Valdevez. We finish the cycling tour along the river Vez with Porto glass.

Day 6: After one last delicious breakfast you’ll be transferred from the Quinta Lamosa countryside to Oporto airport in order to meet your allotted flight time.
